One mangled leg and a trip to hospital, a beaten boat and a snapped paddle later, we are all back from the 'Wet West Paddlefest'. Sadly however, not quite in the condition we had hoped.

Shaun took a beating and ended up in hospital, with lots of stitches and a battered ego. We suspected a shattered knee cap, which luckily the X-rays proved it was not. However, until the swelling goes down we will not know the full extent of the damage, so fingers crossed. We are still trying to locate his paddle though (Neil Farmer, if you read this please get in touch!). He also put a huge dent in the front of the boat (unlucky Liam - you may never lend a boat again!), which is proving difficult to get out. And I made an error whilst running the first drop of the Lower Moriston, resulting in a set of snapped blades!

Still, we had a great time and met some fantastic people. Obviously, big thankyou's to the organisers and all who helped with Shaun, both on and off the water. It was appreciated.

I have just finished editing a full report of the weekends events, courtesy of Liam, which should be on our main site soon - I am presently working on some updates (www.designcrisis.co.uk). JB is also playing around with the video footage, so that should be online soon too. Suffice to say, barring the aforementioned incidents, we had a great time and it was fantastic to meet so many new people.
