Happy New Year - an update!

Well happy new year and all that! It has been a while since our last blog entry so here is a quick update.

JB and I have found an awesome creek which we scouted in full on New Years Eve, it was a bit low but we ran it anyway! It's got easy access but is well hidden away, and we're 90% sure it's never been run before, which is amazing! It also has a nice little trib to divert attention. The river itself contains all manner of drops, upto around 25 - 30 feet, with both pool drop and technical lines! However, we're not going to say where it is just yet as we'd like to run it with a bit more water in. We've also found a few more projects to do, so hopefully it will rain when we're free to paddle, and we can go 'tick' them all! The photo shows one of the drops in the second gorge section, just to whet your appetite...

We have also done a WWSR course so (hopefully) we should be a bit slicker when it comes to rescues in the future. I have just turned 21, so JB and I ran the Swale to celebrate, which was fun.

It's peeing it down at the moment, all the rivers are up, and we can't go paddling; which sucks! However, JB and I (along with the Mrs's) are going skiing / boarding to La Plagne on Sunday which should be awesome, especially if it snows some more! I have also been working on a site overhaul, which should go online soon.
Cheers, and all the best for 2007.
Tom
